System description : Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system also known as Video Surveillance System is a self-contained surveillance system comprising cameras, recorders and displays in which the video camera signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored, primarily for surveillance and security purposes. CCTV relies on strategic placement of cameras, and observation of the camera’s input on monitors somewhere.
System Operation flow : In earlier stage, CCTV systems used analog recorder such as VCR then subsequently, specialized digital video recorders (DVRs) with multiple analog inputs superseded VHS tape machines. In recent years, digital “network cameras” are used that transmit over Ethernet or Wi-Fi and offer greater camera installation flexibility. Analog cameras used a separate cabling of coaxial cables connecting each camera directly to the DVR (Digital VideoRecorder). Where the digital “network cameras” utilizing the common LAN infrastructure of the building.
System application location : bars, banks, casinos, schools, hotels, airports, hospitals, restaurants, military installations, convenience stores and other areas where security is needed.
